The Judiciary is the system of courts which apply the law in the name of the state. It provides a process for the resolution of disputes. It is also known as “Court system”. Many countries have their own judiciary system with different rules and regulations.

The Indian Judiciary is one of the oldest legal systems in the world. The Indian Judiciary system is also known as ‘ common law system, in which law is developed by the judges through their orders and decisions. Another important feature of the Indian Judiciary system is that they have adopted features of other legal systems but they do not conflict with each other as for the benefits of the nation and the citizens. There are different types of courts each with varying powers and jurisdiction. The main court of Indian Judiciary is “  Supreme Court of India” and all others are like ‘High Courts of India, The Subordinate Courts, District Courts etc.’
